About Us

Scott & Becky @ Biola

Let us introduce ourselves!

Our desire is to be used by God to bring people into a personal relationship with Him and see them built up in their faith so that they can be sent out into the world to be an influence for Christ.

Scott:

I am a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona. In 1998 I received my degree in civil engineering and began work as a structural engineer. Not long after, I knew God had called me into vocational ministry. I wanted to make an eternal difference and invest in the lives of others. For two years I was the junior high youth leader at my church and the finance administrator. At the beginning of 2002 I answered the Lord’s call into vocational ministry with Cru and its campus ministry.  Becky and I were married in December of 2002, and served at my alma mater, Cal Poly Pomona. We spent a year with the National Campus Office at our World Headquarters. Since 2006, I’ve served our Cru missionaries on the West Coast, in many capacities.  I’ve led in theological development, application evaluation, crisis care, New Staff allocation, and consistently in summer assignments.  My work with summer assignments and summer missions, led me to help our national office restructure our summer mission program in 2018. Since 2019 I have served on our Mission Trip Team, helping to coordinate short-term mission trips with Cru nationwide. In 2023 I completed a M.A. in Theological Studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Interests: Hiking, fishing, birding, camping, traveling, reading and family time.

Becky:

I am a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. In 1996, I received my degree in Business/Marketing. Upon graduation I joined the full time staff of Cru. It was through my involvement in ministry in high school, and with Cru as a college student, that I gained a vision for the world and had the opportunities to be an ambassador for the Lord. I served and led the campus ministry at Cal Poly Pomona from 1996 to 2005. We spent a year at our world headquarters in Orlando with the National Campus Office. From 2006-2018, I engaged and led in various ways to care for and train staff and students on the West Coast. From evaluating intern applications to caring for staff moms to planning wives conferences. After almost three decades of student ministry, one of the things that continues to capture my heart and be a great fit to use my gifts is Cru’s short term missions. After primarily caring for and homeschooling our children, starting fall of 2024, I am excited to serve on the Mission Trip Team in a greater capacity to send students to the ends of the earth!

Interests: Organizing, party planning, hanging out with friends, football, homeschooling, musical theater, & movies
