“I want to get near to God. I want to know God!” Luis responded, after asking if he would like to hear about what it means to know God personally. Shannon, a student from Ohio Wesleyan University, and Scott spent and hour-anda-half sharing the gospel with Luis over lunch, and he gratefully and sincerely prayed to receive Christ!
Over the course of just five days on a campus of 350,000 students (the largest in all of Latin America), 19 US college students and 17 staff, professors, and volunteers initiated with 547 people, had 290 spiritual conversations, 148 gospel presentations, and 18 people prayed to receive Christ!
Pray for the one full-time Cru staff person and two part-time staff that will follow up all of these contacts. It was also a joy to serve alongside the Mexican staff who are on the National team in Puebla.
We are praising the Lord for what He did with one week! We are expectant for what the Lord could do in the future as we trust Him to grow this opportunity for students in the U.S. to go, and for Mexican students to be invited into a transformational community where they know Jesus and make Him known. Thank you for your partnership in taking the gospel to every tribe, tongue, and nation!
Praise & Prayer
Praise the Lord for Luis & 17 more new brothers & sisters in Christ in Mexico!
Please pray for the students we met in Mexico City to get connected to other believers to grow, and for students like Bash to continue to ask questions that would lead them to saving faith in Jesus!
